Beach House Terms and Conditions

 

1.   At the time of booking a non-refundable deposit is to be paid.  The balance has to be paid no later than six weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.  The Owner reserves the right to cancel the booking if the balance is not received by four weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the commencement of the holiday, payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

 

2.   In the event of cancellation, the Hirer will be responsible for the entire cost of the rental.  It is strongly recommended that travel/cancellation         insurance is taken out at the time of the booking in case of such an eventuality.

 

3.   A bond of £100 will be charged, and is payable with the balance payment, to be held in case of any breakages or damage to the Owner’s property.  When the holiday is over, and after the deduction for any damage if any, the balance will be returned to the Hirer within 10 working days.

 

4.  The Owner accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the loss or damage to any persons or their belongings or damage to or by a third party.  Any claims for personal possessions or damages have to be made to the Hirer’s own insurers. It is recommended that Hirers check their own insurance policy to ensure that they are covered.

 

5.   Parking is at the Hirer’s own risk. Parking spaces are provided according to the number available.  The Hirer must park in the allocated space for the apartment.  The Council charge for parking in the unreserved spaces on the Beach.

 

6.   The owner will not be responsible for any penalty parking tickets incurred for parking in any other places

 

7.   It is recommended that cars should be kept locked at all times.  The Owner will not take responsibility for any damages to cars or theft of any items removed from cars.

 

8.   Check in time is 3pm or later.  The Owner will try to arrange for guests to be met at the apartment, but sometimes this may not be possible and the Hirer may have to use the key safe to gain access to the premises.

 

9.   The Hirer is responsible for looking after the Apartment and all its contents.   Any breakages must be reported before the end of the holiday, and will charged for at replacement value.

 

10.  The Owner reserves the right to enter and re-possess the property should any there by any serious damage.   

 

11.  Keys – Each apartment has a key safe and the Hirer will be sent the code a few days before the commencement of the holiday. When the Hirer has gained access to the property, the main key should be returned to the key safe.  If any key is missing at the end of the holiday a charge of £10 per key will be made.

 

12.  The towels supplied for internal use only and under no circumstances can they be used anywhere outside the apartment. If any towels are missing at the end of the holiday a charge of £!5 per bath sheet or £10 per hand towel will be made

 

13.  Pets are not permitted

 

14.  The apartments are strictly no smoking.

 

15.  A wi-fi connection is provided free of charge.  

 

16.  If there are any maintenance issues, please inform the owner as soon as possible.  Every endeavour will be made to rectify immediately any issues that would impact on the Hirers’ holiday.  Other problems will be rectified as soon as possible, the timing to be decided by mutual agreement between the Hirer and the Owner (subject to the availability of the appropriate tradesman), in order not to adversely affect the Hirers’ enjoyment of the apartment.

 

17.  The maximum number of guests is restricted to six for each Apartment and also by the number that has been declared at the time of booking.   

 

18.  It is requested that noise be kept to a minimum after 11pm, in order not to interfere with neighbours 

 

19.  At the end of the letting:

 

    a    Check out time is at 10am on the day of departure

    b    The apartments are cleaned thoroughly between each letting.  However it is expected that Hirers leave the premises clean and tidy . 

    c    If anything has been moved, it should be returned to its original position.  

    d    All rubbish and re-cycling should be placed in the appropriate bins at the back of the house.

    e    The dishwasher must be emptied.

    f     The lighting and heating must be turned off.

    g    The main key must be left in the key safe. Other keys should be left on the kitchen worktop.

    h     All doors and windows must be locked.
